One of the primary foci of the New Covenant is the Kingdom of God.
Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good Message of the Kingdom of God, (Mark 1:14)
Indeed, it was the reason that Christ had been sent.
But he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent." (Luke 4:43)
Because it was Christ's ministry upon the earth, He passed it along to His disciples as well:
He sent them forth to preach the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. (Luke 9:2)
This teaching is therefore very important to those who love the truth. It is intimately connected to the Gospel, and thus forms a foundation of our knowledge and experience of Yahweh.
It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God. With him were the twelve, (Luke 8:1)
The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, "Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the Kingdom of God! (Mark 10:24)
