The Nature & Presence of God
This dream came in lucidity—in other words, while I was dreaming I knew I was dreaming, and therefore I made the decision to seek God. What came was both a blessing and a mystery—I pray that sharing it will somehow encourage you to seek Him more.
I came around a corner. There was a woman stooping down, but rather than become distracted by her I continued to walk because of the strange look on her face. I then said out loud in the dream, "Lord, I want to hear from You!"
As I came around another corner, all of the scenery being very detailed, I was expecting to see Him, but instead... there was the inside of a cathedral, with tall windows and some type of wooden altar. A Great Light, a kind of whitish-yellow, was shining through from behind the glass windows. I knew it was the Light of God. I also somehow knew I had to get to the top of this altar. Something behind me was hanging on to me, trying to prevent me from getting there, but I shook it off and then "willed" for myself to float up in the air. I then began to rise up, and directed myself to a narrow support beam at the top of part of the altar.
While carefully standing on it, I could see across to some writing on the main part of the great wooden altar:
"ROMMA UNA ROMMA TRINITY"
It was actually engraved in the wood, as if it were the "motto" of this cathedral-like place. I then turned around slid down a wire, and was greeting by some church people. I was exclaiming, "HalleluYah!" A few people were disappointed in me for some reason, but several were clapping. It was as if they had each had their own experience with God, whatever He needed to show them about Himself, and they were now discussing it with one another. It all happened under a canopy-type tabernacle, with oil lamps to light the area. I walked over to join the discussion and fellowship.
I have yet to understand what the engraving means. I am told that "Una" is an Italian word (and "Romma" may have been "Roma"), meaning "Rome" and "One" respectively. One person has suggested that the message means that in the same way that the Assembly is one (Rome representing the early church), so is the Trinity one. That somehow the Trinity is like the Assembly in its oneness—perhaps because it consists of individuals (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit), just as does the Assembly (each member of the Body), yet together they make up one indivisible entity. However, in the dream, it seemed as though first and third words were "ROMMA," specifically not "ROMA." If you hear from the Lord about this dream, please do email me and share.
Beyond that, this dream is a reminder of the glory of God's presence. He is truly Light and He chooses to manifest His glory upon altars—in the Old Covenant, upon man-made altars of wood, stone and earth; in the New Covenant, upon the spirits of man and the Body of Christ as a whole.
Lastly, if we ask to hear from Him, He will surely send His Word. He desires a relationship with us, as His children, and how else does one develop a relationship but by communication? Talk to your Father and get to know Him better. He will show you Himself just as you need to see Him at the moment, because we are each on different portions of the same path to Him.
