The Holy Spirit

11For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit. 12But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God. 13Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 1 Corinthians 2:11-13

The Holy Spirit is wonderful! He is the One within Yahweh Elohim Who has been promised to all those who love God and obey Him (Acts 5:32).

The Eternal Creator is known to us, not only as a Father, and as a Son, but as a Wind, an Advocate, One Who remains unseen, but Whose presence is felt by those who believe in and honor Him. This One is He Who was promised to stay with the Assembly, once the Lord Jesus returned to heaven.

Looking at the original meanings of "holy" and "spirit," we see that the Holy Spirit is the breath or wind of God Whom He has "set apart" for a special purpose."

Christ said that He would send "another Advocate" (John 14:16); there are two main words for "another" in the Greek language. One means "another of the same kind" and the other means "another of a different kind."

The word used for the Holy Spirit, in relation to Christ, is the former—another of the same kind. The Holy Spirit can be known just as Jesus can be known. He can be talked to and talk back to us, He can guide us, give us strength, reveal God's will, grant us peace, encourage us in times of hardships, and do everything else that Christ did on earth.

He is Jesus' Representative on earth, while He waits to return from heaven in glory. It is only through the Spirit that we can know Christ, and thus, the Father as well (2 Corinthians 5:16) (1 Corinthians 12:3) (John 14:8-11)! The Holy Spirit needs to be known and cherished, because He is Yahweh!
