The Kingdom of God

One of the primary foci of the New Covenant is the Kingdom of God.

14Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom, Mark 1:14

Indeed, it was the reason that Christ had been sent.

43But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of God’s Kingdom to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.” Luke 4:43

Because it was Christ's ministry upon the earth, He passed it along to His disciples as well:

2He sent them out to preach God’s Kingdom and to heal the sick. Luke 9:2

This teaching is therefore very important to those who love the truth. It is intimately connected to the Gospel, and thus forms a foundation of our knowledge and experience of Yahweh.

1Soon afterwards, he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of God’s Kingdom. With him were the twelve, Luke 8:1
