Worship is ultimately the reason for our existence, according to Yahweh.
Our very being, once we have been incorporated into Christ, is to be the praise of the Holy One.
5having predestined us for adoption as children through JesusChrist to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, 6to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely bestowed favor on us in the Beloved, 7in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him 10to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him; 11in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will; 12to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ: 13in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good Message of your salvation,—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the HolySpirit of promise, 14who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:5-14)
It is for His pleasure that all things, including us, have been created.
"Worthy are you, our Lord and God, the Holy One,{TR omits "and God, the Holy One,"} to receive the glory, the honor, and the power, for you created all things, and because of your desire they existed, and were created!" (Revelation 4:11)
Understanding worship and praise of Yahweh is vital to experiencing the joy He has ordained for us, and to walking in the fullness of our reason for being.
Without controversy, the mystery of godliness is great: God was revealed in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, and received up in glory. (1 Timothy 3:16)
