Perhaps the most important truth in one's quest to know God is to understand that He is indeed knowable.
26He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the surface of the earth, having determined appointed seasons, and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27that they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. (Acts 17:26-27)
Because He is not just a force, power or concept, but a Person with a Personality, we can come to know Him just as we know fellow human beings.
This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, JesusChrist. (John 17:3)
This section will look at the various descriptions of Yahweh concerning His personal nature.
You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever. (1 Chronicles 28:9)
